Corrie brings over 15 years experience as a generalist in the field of Clinical Counselling holding a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Clinical Counselling, as a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a full member in good standing with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association, Corrie adheres to a strict code of ethics that is the backbone of the work she does when working with individuals.
Over the past 15 years Corrie has gained her knowledge and experience from working with families and individuals who are impacted by traumatic events that involve Police as the Program Manager for BC RCMP Victim Services, during this time Corrie had the honor of walking alongside familes often during the most traumatic and tragic times in their lives, offering support and deep caring for individuals suffering from trauma and loss.
As well, Corrie worked for several years with youth and adults suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury, Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders in hospital and community settings. Through Corrie’s personal journey of self-discovery, she believes that a Clinician’s level of wellness directly influences what is possible for their clients. Corrie works with men, women and families faced with a variety of personal challenges including trauma, relationships, and addiction. Corrie assist’s people to tap into their own innate resources and build skills to effectively manage their emotions and challenges and find a sense of self-acceptance and peace.
We are all in choice and our capacity for creating wellness and fulfillment is a continual source of inspiration for her. Corrie regularly engages in training in Mental Health, Tauma, and Addiction in order to stay current in her knowledge and skills.
